Overview

Toulon is already on Bucentaure — Overview as the yard that launched that Téméraire-class 80 in July 1803 and completed her in 1804. The same note places the yard in the Consulate rebuild after the Nile losses.¹

This note covers that construction window and the later Toulon command only. Workforce, dry-dock counts, and a full building list stay on RESEARCH_QUEUE.

Latouche-Tréville Louis-René — French Admiral held the Toulon fleet until his death in August 1804. Napoleon then gave Toulon to Villeneuve Pierre-Charles — French Admiral. Villeneuve sailed from Toulon on 29 March 1805 on the Trafalgar Campaign 1805.²
