Overview

The command is already on Villeneuve Pierre-Charles — French Admiral. In August 1804, on the death of Latouche-Tréville Louis-René — French Admiral, Napoleon gave Villeneuve the Toulon fleet. He sailed from Toulon on 29 March 1805.1

The Command

This note covers that Toulon command only. A fleet list and a ship-by-ship station stay on RESEARCH_QUEUE.

Bucentaure — Overview already records that the new flagship went with that command, and that she sailed on 29 March 1805 on the trans-Atlantic feint. Toulon Arsenal — French Naval Construction Centre is already filled as a place. Cadiz — Spanish Naval Port is already filled. Mediterranean Fleet 1805–10 is Collingwood’s later British command, not this French one.2
