Slade is already on HMS Victory — Overview. He designed that 104-gun first-rate. She was laid down at Chatham Dockyard in 1759.¹

The Design Credit

This note covers that Victory design credit only. Birth, death, and other ships stay on RESEARCH_QUEUE.

Construction took six years — not unusual for a First Rate. She launched on 7 May 1765. English elm, English oak, and the Wealden Forest stay red-links on the Victory note. Copper Sheathing — Hull Protection is the 1780 refit.²
