Overview

The prize is already on the Battle of Copenhagen 1801 — Overview. After 2 April 1801 about twelve Danish ships were destroyed, captured, or rendered unusable; one prize, Holsteen (60), was taken into the Royal Navy as HMS Holstein.¹

The Prize

This note covers that Copenhagen prize only. A launch year, a captain, a later British career, and the later name as its own page stay on RESEARCH_QUEUE.

Do not invent a rate-class beyond the 60 the battle note states. HMS Agamemnon — Overview is the British 64 that ran aground entering the channel; Bellona and Russell stay grounding-only on that same sentence. This page does not write them as ships.²
