The Acting Post

Southey says that as soon as the Dolphin was paid off, Nelson was appointed acting lieutenant in the Worcester, 64, Capt. Mark Robinson, then going out with convoy to Gibraltar. Soon after his return he passed the 8 April 1777 examination.²

The examination stays on Lieutenancy Examination — 8 April 1777. The East-India illness and the Dolphin passage stay on RESEARCH_QUEUE. This page does not invent a commission date for Robinson or a later Worcester career.
